Run my backtest

Privacy policy

What happens to the details you send us when you request a backtest.

Last updated 1 November 2026

Who we are

Tether is built and run by Kernl Digital Ltd, Liverpool, UK. We decide how the details you send through the backtest request form are used, which makes us the controller of that data under UK data protection law.

Questions or requests about your data: ollie@kernldigital.com.

What this covers

This policy covers the backtest request form on this website. If you go on to share your gym’s member data with us, that’s covered separately by a data processing agreement we sign with you before any file moves.

What we collect

When you send the form, we receive:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your gym and town
  • your gym’s management system
  • roughly how many active members you have

Our hosting provider also keeps short-term server logs, such as your IP address, the time of the request and your browser type. These logs can include what you sent.

How we use it

Only to reply to you, arrange your backtest and follow up about it. We don’t add you to a mailing list or use your details for anything else.

Our legal bases are taking steps you’ve asked for before we might work together, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries.

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run Tether: our website hosting provider, and an email service that delivers your request to our inbox. They handle it on our instructions and can’t use it for their own purposes. We never sell your data.

Where it’s stored

In the UK or EU where we can. If a provider stores or accesses it elsewhere, we make sure it’s protected by approved safeguards, such as a UK adequacy decision or the UK’s international data transfer agreement.

How long we keep it

If your request doesn’t lead to us working together, we delete it within 12 months of our last contact. If it does, we keep it while we work together, and afterwards only as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you, to stop or limit using it, or to send it to you in a common format. You can also object to how we use it. Email ollie@kernldigital.com and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
